Parent FAQ
-
Lingo Liftoff serves children ages 2–6, grouped into three developmentally aligned programs: Little Launchers (Ages 2–3), Rising Rockets (Ages 3–4), Mission Masters (Ages 4–6).
-
No — Lingo Liftoff is not speech therapy. Our program is designed by a pediatric SLP but does not diagnose, treat, or replace therapy services. It is a language enrichment program that strengthens vocabulary, comprehension, social communication, storytelling skills, and early literacy foundations.
-
No — we support early communicators at every stage, including children using gestures, sounds, single words, or beginning to combine words. Sessions focus on building foundational communication skills through play, modeling, and connection.
-
All sessions take place at your child's school during the regular school day. No extra driving, no evening commitments, no schedule juggling.
-
Each session is 40 minutes, held once per week. This length supports attention, engagement, and meaningful language practice without overwhelming young learners.
-
Groups are intentionally small — typically 3–5 children — to ensure individualized modeling, turn-taking, and high engagement.
-
Depending on program level, children learn: early vocabulary, describing words, storytelling and sequencing, following directions, asking and answering questions, social communication, problem-solving with peers, and early literacy language.
-
That's completely okay and very common. Our instructors use gentle invitations, predictable routines, warm responsive modeling, and low-pressure participation. Many shy children thrive in our small-group environment.
-
Children with speech or language delays are welcome and encouraged to participate. Lingo Liftoff can complement existing speech therapy beautifully by providing additional communication practice in a natural, joyful setting.
-
Enrollment is completed online. Once submitted, we confirm your child's placement and send session details. Enrollment is first-come, first-served due to small group sizes.
